PR Nightmares

Maybe what makes something a PR nightmare is calling it a PR nightmare.

Apple was found guilty for purposefully slowing down older iPhones so people would buy new iPhones.

Did you know that? In a class action lawsuit, they were forced to give millions back to people who owned an iPhone 6.

How did Apple say sorry? They didn’t.

They just kept making new phones with new cameras, and new marketing campaigns.

I’m not saying it’s right. And if consumers want to hold businesses accountable, they can. All I’m saying is that narrative management is fascinating.

And it seems like Apple avoided a PR nightmare by refusing to call their PR nightmare a PR nightmare.

Find out what I really think here.
