Reset

I’ve been doing some resetting recently.

Building the city of your dreams requires diligent daily brick stacking. But sometimes I get so focused on stacking those bricks that the original vision of the city starts to get foggy.

What am I building? What is this for? What does success and significance look like for me in 1, 2, 5 and 10 years?

Am I enjoying myself?

I’ve been thinking about each of these questions, and considering my brick placement in light of the city I eventually want to see. This was one of the big motivators to start writing every day.

I encourage you to periodically reset. Think about where you’ve recently been spending time and resources, then consider if that investment has actually been helping you achieve your dreams.
